Meet the Local: Vince Weavers

Today we meet Vince Weavers, local paddleboard enthusiast and co-founder of EBB & FLO Living.

Tell me a little bit about yourself?
Hi I’m Vince, 42 years old, husband to Toni, Stepdad to Luca (12) and Dad to Myles (8). I am the co-founder of EBB & FLO Living along with my wife Toni. I work as a Project Manager for Orsted, global offshore wind leaders. I am a qualified paddleboard instructor, a musician (drummer) and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle.

Have you always lived in Lincolnshire?
I have lived and moved away from Lincolnshire but returned and started a family. I have lived in London, Norfolk and onboard cruise ships as a musician.

What is your favourite thing to do in the area?
I really enjoy being by the sea, a walk along our coastline is one of my favourite things to do. I must admit though my firm favourite is being out my paddleboard on our awesome coastline.

Where are your favourite places to shop?
I’m not much of a shopper but I do make a beeline for Forw4rd.

Where is your favourite place to eat?
This is a tough question to answer, locally as in close to home it has to be Valeries Italian. I also love eating out at Healing Manor.

Tell me what a perfect Lincolnshire day would look like to you?
A sunrise paddleboard session followed by a walk with the dog and family on the beach. A stop on the beach for a play about, lunch at Vals, maybe nip to Docks Beers for a drink or two and an evening meal at Healing Manor and sleeeep.

If someone was new to the area what would be the first thing you’d tell them to do / check out?
I’d tell them to take to foot or cycle around Cleethorpes and check out Seaview Street and surrounding areas, the marketplace and then head to the beach. I would always get them to check out EBB & FLO and the awesome sunrise and sunset experience. Deffo check out Docks Beers.

If you could change one thing about Lincolnshire what would it be?
I really don’t think I’d change a thing, friendly people, not too busy but busy enough, access to the Lincolnshire Wolds and the stuffing coast all within 2-15 minutes of Cleethorpes.

I guess we have historically had some bad press with the decline of the fishing industry. My message is that we are riding the renewables wave and the area is the home of the LARGEST offshore wind field in the world! North East Lincolnshire is firmly on the map and we are thriving.

Do you have a “go to” place to chill out, relax and unwind?
It has to be the beach or a walk in the countryside, the sound of the water or nature is just the best way to unwind.

What is the best thing about living in Lincolnshire?
It’s home, it feels like home and there is certainly a warm friendly and energetic vibe.
