Lincolnshire Loves

This week I was asked to be on BBC Radio Humberside by the lovely Kim Harrison for her show Kim’s World (check her out Tuesdays 6:00pm to 9:30pm). Kim and I had a good chat before the show and one of the things we chatted about was where I want to take the blog.

This got me thinking and although the blog is focused on Lincolnshire a lot of posts are about businesses and spots in Grimsby or Cleethorpes, becasue it’s where I live and the area I know best. But there are so many places in Lincolnshire that I love and also want to shout about so I do want ot expand a little bit.

I thought I’d give a shout out to some of the places I love in Lincolnshire:

Huttoft:
John and I had our first date on the beach here, it is literally just beach but it’s awesome for paddleboarding. We usually take a picnic and the paddleboards and spend the day relaxing on the sand.

Scotter:
I actually lived in Scotter for a few years before I moved to London. Now my folks live there and I love to visit. It’s a small village outside Scunthorpe. One of my favourite places to go when I am there is the White Swan Pub, it’s so lovely and the food is delicious, with a fantastic beer garden to sit out in during the Summer months.

Woodhall Spa:
John took me to Woodhall Spa for a date day last year and we went to Kinema in the Woods. It is AWESOME I felt like I had gone back in time, not just with Kinema, but with the whole village So quaint, I loved it.

Lincoln:
I couldn’t do a blog post about areas in Lincolnshire and not mention Lincoln. I love a day out in Lincoln. One of the places I love to go to in Lincoln is Madame Waffle, their waffles are amazing. It’s especially lovely at Christmas.

Louth:
I love a little day out in Louth so many nice shops and places to eat, also it’s lovely place to just have a wonder round. John and I plan on having a trip to there when lockdown has ended to go to The Ranch, he’s told me all about it and it’s definitely on the to do list.

There are a lot more places in our beautiful Lincolnshire. Do you have any recommendations for me? Or any Lincolnshire independent businesses I should check out?

Take care and stay safe!
