It’s been a miserable week in terms of the weather, it’s the kind of weather than makes you want to curl up on the sofa with a nice cuppa. However, on Tuesday evening I got wrapped up and braved the rain to head to my first Mama Tribe MeetUp and I am certainly glad I did.
The event was hosted by the lovely Gemma from It Started with a Stitch. The ethos of Mama Tribe is a community supporting women through motherhood and in business. It’s a place for people who understand each other, share similar experiences and support each other.
The event was held at Folk Wine Kitchen on Cambridge Street in Cleethoropes where I was greeted with a lovely mocktail on arrival and their famous antipasti board which was just as tasty as it looked.
The event was small and intimate, with some fantastic local business women.
We had a talk from blogger and marketing expert Becky Barnes who told us her story and also spoke about all things Social Media. It really sparked some fantastic conversation and I definitely learnt a lot. Thanks Becky!
The whole evening was super relaxed and I met some fantastic women who all run / work for amazing businesses. It was lovely to chat to ladies who are passionate about their own businessses but also about growing, supporting and promoting other local, small businesses.
The next Mama Tribe MeetUp is being planned as we speak. Keep an eye out on It Started with a Stich social media, or on my social media (
